BitMEX Exchange Expands XRP Derivatives with New Quarterly Futures Contracts

The XRPZ25 contract, launched on September 9, will settle on December 26, while the XRPU25 contract, initiated on June 10, expires on September 26. The exchange first introduced XRP perpetual futures in 2020 and added spot trading capabilities in March 2024. Quarterly futures differ from perpetual swaps by offering predetermined expiry dates, creating opportunities for hedging strategies and calendar arbitrage.
